It's my go-to place if I'm in the area. They have indoor and outdoor seating, accommodating for both small and larger parties, or just with a few friends. The ambience changes depending which part of the restaurant you get seated. The service was good, as well as the food. They also offer alcoholic beverages on the weekdays during lunch. Give a try if you haven't been.

The food was delish the food presentation was very nice & their drinks were yummy. The service was fast and The ambiance was nice I enjoyed coming here with my friends for happy hour

Simply put, order the molcajete, you will not be disappointed. As you can see in the photo it is an array of shrimp, beef, chicken and vegetables. They serve this with fresh homemade tortillas as well. The service was good here and we sat outside on a cool spring evening. Can't beat the ambiance!

My co-workers and I came to Pez Cantina for a department lunch meeting. Upon arrival, we noticed how busy the establishment was, but were able to get seated within 5 mins! I suggest making a reservation to ensure a table. The interior was cute, gave off a late night upscale bar vibe with the dark interior and LED lights. There was also a back room with a large window to allow in the sunlight and even outdoor dining was an option. Since we didn't have a lunch reservation, we got seated in the back room. I ordered the Carne Asada Pamzabos and the Guacamole w/ chips to share. The guacamole was creamy and delicious! I enjoyed the lemon/chili seasoning that was sprinkled on the chips. The Pamzabos was super flavorful and cooked to perfection! The fries I received with my meal were nice and crispy (just the way I like it) with that chili/lemon seasoning. The server was very attentive despite the number of customers and was again super polite! He gave us some recommendation and was very apologetic about our drinks arriving after our meal had arrived (Delays in the kitchen).

Pez Cantina is our go to happy hour spot after work. The service is always amazing, and the food and drinks are delicious. My fav are the shrimp tacos and the hibiscus margarita.

I have a backlog of reviews to write on Yelp, but felt inclined to make Pez Cantina priority. This place exceeded expectations. It's kind of an interesting place to check out on a weekend or Friday night as you'd think it's more for a corporate lunch vibe given the location, but it was quite busy. The server made incredible recommendations, and the drinks turned out great. Our only knock would be one of the shrimp dishes we were looking forward to was sold out and not available, we will return to try it though. The portions were generous , and the way each item was dressed or sauced added a ton of flavor which complimented the dishes very well.

Wow top quality food here. Everything we ordered was really good. Food was fresh and good quality and portions for the price. Staff was A+, super nice and on the ball. Menu has lots of tasty options to choose from. Bar and drink menu looked great. Interior was clean and hip and fun. I will come back for sure....

While staying at the Westin on Figueroa for a conference, I had some hangry coworkers who needed to be satiated and did not want too long of a walk. Fortunately, the Yelp Goddesses recommended Pez Cantina in walking distance (albeit up a big hill!). It was a Wednesday night and we most certainly did NOT have reservations. We were still seated quickly on the gorgeous outdoor patio. Now, being from San Diego, I'm a weather wimp, and the idea of sitting outside in early December did not thrill me. Pez staff were super friendly, and rolled a nice heater over immediately, which caused my out-of-town snow-based coworkers big belly laughs, as they found the 50-degree weather charming. We shared chips & guac, a gorgeous Mexican Caesar salad and each opted for tacos. Everything was delicious! The bill was pricey, but hey, it's downtown LA for chrissakes. Thanks to Pez Cantina for a nice evening out.

Pro: drinks, aesthetic, welcoming. Grow: salsa needs some spice. Pez cantina feels like an oasis in the heart of LA. They have a nice patio with a fountain as well as plenty of indoor seating. The staff was all so welcoming and I loved the dia de los muertos decor they had. The menu was authentic in flavor yet creative in presentation. Overall, it is a gem in downtown La and a great place for drinks and Mexican food. Food: I loved the chips, salsa, and guac presentation. The guac was a 10/10 and salsas were flavorful. The only complaint is that none of the salsas were spicy enough for me. I do think once of the 6 should have a kick to them. We tried the scallops and fish entree. The seafood is fresh and well balanced. I would definitely order the scallops again. The molcajete had a beautiful presentation and good variety. Drinks: the bartender was doing their job! The drinks were all 10/10. They were flavorful yet not too overpowering. I loved the dia de los muertos cempasuchil special. Great job Pez Cantina.
